While these things are important qualities to possess but to imply that our lower qualities must be eliminated, ignored or suppressed is wrong, it is dangerous and it is and invitation to having them come out sideways. We are not here to be perfect, we are not here to have everything we want, we are not here to live only one side of life. The deepest joy, is found when we share the suffering and heartache of others. It is not when we have gotten everything we want. This is new age tyranny.
The Optomists Creed says it all. If we can live it, we will chase the blues and fear away and open ourselves to compassioin and love. And to think that it was written in 1912. I would like to spend some time with Christian Larson and some of the other open thinkers of the time, such as Emmet Fox. So good that you posted it.
